Why You Should Donate Old Sporting Goods

If you’ve found yourself asking “Should I donate my old sporting goods?” then the answer is yes! When you donate old sporting goods equipment that you no longer use, it removes another piece of clutter from your home. Donating your old baseball bat or soccer ball will give it a second life. Someone who needs them will put them to good use, which is definitely better than just taking up space in your garage or throwing them away.

Why donate instead of dumping?

Many things end up in the landfill, but if an item is lightly used, then it is best to donate your old sporting goods instead. Obviously, if something is no longer able to be used, or is very worn out, throwing it away is the best option. When this happens, you can find resources to properly recycle used instead of donating your old sporting goods and sports equipment.

Kids no longer need them.

Maybe your kids used to play soccer and no longer need their cleats or baseball gloves. Possibly your daughter outgrew her tap shoes. Children in your area could be struggling to find sports equipment for their next season of running track, baseball, soccer, and your donation could make a huge difference in their lives.

It helps you declutter.

Donating used items is a great way to declutter and help others. They will end up having a second life and will be well used by others. Instead of leaving your gently used sports equipment somewhere to collect dust,  donate them.

If you have some things that you need to get rid of, you can bring them to 9Pickup or schedule a pickup for your used items.
